A monstrous adventure in México

Jaume Copons and Liliana Fortuny have visited México on the occasion of the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL)

Copons & Fortuny recently took a monster of a trip to México for the FIL. Spain is the Guest of Honor at this year’s 38th edition. Naturally, the authors were keen to join the fun. With their rucksacks always at the ready, they’re always up for a new monstrous adventure! The authors are on a mission to showcase the best of Spanish children’s literature. They are attending the fair to promote their beloved graphic novel series. In addition, they are also visiting schools, giving talks and meeting with readers from all over México.

But one of the highlight of the fair was a truly monstrous encounter: a three-way meeting with Ramon Casals and Diego & Naiara from Carochinha, the Brazilian publisher of Alex e os monstros, with more than 100.000 copies sold in Brazil.

To celebrate this monstrous achievement, we’re thrilled to announce that Agus and the Monsters is about to reach the one million copies sold in Spanish and Catalan! And that’s not even counting the 23 other languages the series has been translated into!

A huge thank you and lots of acorn buttons to all the readers, booksellers, librarians and teachers who have helped us reach this monstrous milestone. And a special tthanks to the publishers, you are monstrous partners, in the best possible way! ♥️
